From June 17th to 19th 2016, the Association Henri Capitant in Cambodia participated to the Law Talk on “Fairness and Integrity of the Electoral Process in Cambodia” organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Foundation (KAS) in Sihanoukville. This event was the opportunity for our association to participate to the discussions regarding the election process in Cambodia, the reforms that has been done for the past three years, and the challenges for the upcoming elections of 2017 (Commune Council elections) and 2018 (General elections).

The first day focused on the system in itself, the legal framework, and the electoral mechanisms, while the second day was dedicated to political campaigning. The Henri Capitant Association in Cambodia was represented by its president Prasnar YI.

The KAS Law Talk are held annually by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Foundation.
