Training « Rights of Defence » by Marcel Lemonde – November 2016

The association Henri Capitant Cambodia has the honor to welcome in Cambodia Mr. Marcel Lemonde, honorary member of the Association and honorary magistrate. 

French investigating judge, he codirected the investigation at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia from 2006 to 2010. He joined the judiciary in 1976 and served as magistrate and president of the chambers in many different French courts. He was also deputy director of the French National Judicial School and president of the French association of magistrates from 1984 to 1987. 

Marcel Lemonde is back in Cambodia and will do, at this occasion, several training.

The first one, on the 29th and 30th of November, will take place at the Royal Academy of Judicial Professions for Magistrates and justice auditors will focus on the rights of defense and professional ethics.

For this event, many legal professionals will be present: His Excellency ANG Vongvattana, Minister of Justice, M. Alain Fortin Counselor of French embassy, His Excellency CHHORN Proleung, President of the Royal Academy for judicial Profession and finally, Mr YI Chan Prasnar, Président of the Association Henri Capitant Cambodia. 

The second one will take place on December 9th at the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia for lawyers and student lawyers. It will focus on the rights of the defense.

Finally, from the 1st to the 9th of December, Marcel Lemonde will provide special criminal law courses to third year students of the Royal University of Law and Economics of Phnom Penh.

These different events, for legal professionals, are going to be very rewarding and interesting!
